Somolia Part 1

I was out in the cold and dark last night and a homeless fellow asked me for fifty cents for a cup of coffee. I told him, automatically, that all I had was plastic. I lied. I thought about that on the way home and felt a change.

  1. Plastic is derived from petroleum and probably not very good for the homeless fellow to drink and also rather bad for the environment.

  5. I really like this as a continuation to Somalia. Very thought-provoking. I think people are sometimes reluctant to give to street people because they are suspicious of whether that money will be used for worthwhile purchases. Giving is a gift in itself.
